Segments of the Alameda County Transportation Corridor have been purchased by the City of Pleasanton and are to become elements of the Downtown Trails and Open Space Master Plan. The first two segments of the Corridor are designed with trails and linear open spaces, public parking and recreational uses associated with adjacent parks and urban public spaces. We have designed an outdoor gathering place adjacent to the City’s new Fire House Arts Center. The gardens and plaza will be used for outdoor arts events, including “Movie Nights”. Many sustainable features have been integrated into the garden design, including LED lighting and bio-retention swales and basins. The project is completed and opened for public use in September 2010.
