MD FOTHERINGHAM, Landscape Architects,  was established in 1992 in California. The practice of landscape architecture included site planning, design feasibility, design guidelines, public design facilitation, preliminary design and construction documents for a variety of project types. Clients included public agencies and private developers/builders. Participation in design competitions yielded unique opportunities to research and explore design theory and practice. Research efforts included post-activation analysis of installed projects to discovery the link between design and user behavior. Success of the firm has been dependent on creative commitments of professional staff. The firm closed in 2022.
