Multi-modal Parking Facility

 

This project is located generally north of the new Train Station, between Ferry Street and Alhambra Creek, and south of the Martinez Regional Shoreline (on both sides of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks). We have designed a new parking lot of 281 spaces, with a new pedestrian bridge over the tracks to the existing station. Access to the parking facility is from a modified extension of Ferry Street to just north of the existing train display, and a new vehicle bridge across Alhambra Creek to Berrellesa Street. The parking lot features bioswale runoff remediation, high ratio of shade trees, and on-site photovoltaic energy systems to provide 100% electrical needs for lighting and site systems controls. A public plaza has been formed in association with the historic train display to provide ample opportunities for future public uses.
